Valentine Day Regatta

The much anticipated Valentine’s Day Regatta is scheduled to kick off tomorrow Saturday 11th February, 2012 at 12pm at the Jolly Harbour Marina Village. Entrant’s party takes place this evening at 6pm at West Point Bar at the Marina Basin. Three (3) exciting races are scheduled daily and climaxes on Sunday 12th. Results from all races will be published daily on the Billboard at West Point.

Participants and fans of sailing are invited to the Regatta Party which will be held at West Point Bar tomorrow night January 11th with Live Music by Rico and Foreplay.

The final race concludes on February 12th. The prize giving ceremony celebrating the winners from the Valentine’s Day Regatta takes place on Sunday 12th February beginning at 6pm at West Point Bar. Updates and photos from the event will be published. Stay tuned! Come and enjoy an exciting weekend of Sailing at Jolly Harbour Marina Village.

Caribbean Sailing Week 2012 will take place on the islands of Antigua and Barbuda and will be the biggest event of the winter season for all fans of the sail.

The Business Regatta – A great way to make new business contacts, get to know their colleagues and business partners, and attract media attention to their brand. But the main thing – a chance to discover sailing, join a prestigious club of successful and active people.

Each participant of the regatta will be able to:
- create its own team and perform under the name of its company;
- Acquire management skills in yacht handling (participation in the regatta will count as seamanship, required for certification as International Yacht Training);
- Relax in one of the world’s top resorts in peak season;
- Take part in an evening program, regattas, public dinners, awards and business meetings;
- To acquire new friends and business partners.

Dates: 16-24 March 2012
Destination: Antigua – Barbuda – Antigua.
Visas: Russian citizens do not need.
Departure: March 16, Domodedovo, airline British Airways, Moscow – London – Antigua.

Fleet: Three divisions (Division monotype, a division of Harmony, a maxi yacht division.

A Night of Caroling

On Saturday, December 17, 2011 after an afternoon of fun, excitement and gift giving, the Commercial Center at Jolly Harbour Marina Village came alive as students from the Sunnydale School and the National Youth Choir of Antigua and Barbuda performed Christmas songs and local carols to the delight of the all that were in attendance.

As the evening came to a close, those in attendance “sang along” with the choir on selected carols, after which members of the Youth Choir merrily moved around singing and wishing everyone a merry Christmas. See photo gallery:

Jolly Harbour Christmas Festival

The much anticipated annual Jolly Harbour Christmas Festival which has now become a tradition since its inception in 2006 was held on Saturday December, 17, 2011 to the delight of excited children from the Jolly Harbour Marina Village community and surrounding communities.

As Santa arrived by helicopter, and exited, the venue was abuzz with cheers and joyful faces as Santa ringing the Christmas bell walked toward the crowd greeting kids and accompanied by two (2) elves.

With the generous support of our residents and tenants the children were treated to snacks and goodies, along with the fun and excitement of the bounce castle and other fun activities all afternoon. See photo gallery:

Youth Sailing at Jolly Harbour

It was an historical day on Tuesday, November 29 2011 for the National Sailing Academy as their dream became reality of establishing a permanent home at Jolly Harbour Marina Village; offering the children of the immediate and surrounding communities the opportunity to learn the art of sailing. On this day Piles were planted at Dock A to start the work of providing the source for the Youth Sailing Programme in Jolly Harbour.
